WEDDING IN TUSCANY

How did you decide on Tuscany as the location for your wedding?
In 2018, I surprised Bobbie with a trip to Florence for his 30th birthday. We visited the estate for the first time then and said to each other, if we ever get married, we should do it here. There was a sense of calm that struck us when we arrived.
How did you decide on the table setting and overall aesthetic of your wedding?
Our vision was a grand Italian family dinner. A long table, everyone should feel involved in the day. Everyone should genuinely have fun, and there should be an abundance of delicious food. Good food was the most important. Since we wanted to do as little as possible ourselves, we entrusted the table setting and flower arrangements to the vineyard. I had seen how they had set up for previous dinners and weddings, so I trusted them. Besides, it wasn't that important to either of us. I, myself, don't remember a single table setting or flower arrangement from the weddings I've attended.
Could you share some details about your wedding dress? What made you choose it?
At first, I wanted something very simple and elegant, and I had almost made up my mind until I had an appointment at your bridal showroom and tried on the one I ultimately chose. Everyone I brought with me to the fitting voted for it from the very beginning while I was unsure. But then it felt absolutely perfect. I it was dramatic yet elegant at the same time. I felt like a real stunner in it.

What was your makeup and hair look?
Since the dress would be the center of attention on this day, I wanted a hairstyle and makeup that were simple yet modern. I was inspired by Sofia Richie's hairstyle and makeup. So, I chose a sort of slicked head-bun. It was also easy to do (it was me and my friend who would style my hair) and wouldn't take any focus away from the dress. It turned out absolutely perfect.
How did you choose jewelry and accessories to match your dress?
Since my dress was WOW, I wanted discreet but elegant jewelry that didn't overpower the dress, and they had to be white pearls. So, the jewelry comes from the same jewelry designer/goldsmith who made our wedding rings. I received the earrings from my mother as "something new", and I spontaneously bought the matching necklace when I picked up our wedding rings. That's a bit how I am... I buy or decide things at the last moment.

Did you have a special moment during the day that was extra meaningful to you?
All the heartfelt speeches. So emotional and beautiful. Our maid of honor and best man, what a job they did. Not a dull moment. Well-planned and entertaining. The best choice, but the most obvious choice we had to make.

What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?
The dinner, seeing everyone I care about there for us, everyone was happy and talking to each other. Just the way we wanted it. The whole wedding is my favorite memory. Simply the best day.

Tell us about the wedding party and your second outfit. Did you have a specifik style or look in mind?
The party, oh it was dancing under the starry sky, do I need to say more? The dress I wanted for that occasion would be the complete opposite of the one I got married in. It would be cool and completely unexpected but still be me. It should also be dance-friendly.

What advice do you have for other couples planning their wedding?
Delegate everything you can to a coordinator, if possible. Don't stress about things you can't control. Don't invest too much time and money in flowers and table settings. For instance, my bridal bouquet was a mix of wildflowers from the estate. Only invite those who are genuinely happy for you and are there for you, not out of obligation. Choose your maid of honor or best man carefully. They can become the most important people before and during the whole wedding. ENJOY every moment, cliché but true!
