How did you choose your wedding dress?
I had a very clear image of what my "dream dress" was. It would be simple and classic in design with a deep back, delicate silk fabric, long sleeves, and a flowing silhouette. The dress I wore at the wedding was the very first dress I tried on, and it felt completely right from the start.

How did you choose your bridesmaides dresses and flower boquets?
I love flowers, and I love color. That's why it was obvious to me to go for a pastel dream that makes you feel like you're drifting away to a wildflower meadow in early summer.
The bridesmaids dresses were chosen with inspiration from the sea, as the wedding took place in the archipelago. I wanted the material of the dresses to resemble the material of the wedding dress but with a simple silhouette.
Where did your wedding venue take place and why?
For us, it was important to get married in the Stockholm archipelago, and more specifically in Sandhamn, as we have family ties there and it's where we spend a large part of our summers.
We share a passion for sailing, so it was natural for us to incorporate some form of boat trip into our wedding day. We came up with the idea of having the entire dinner and party on a boat.

Did you have a special wedding theme?
Archipelago!
What was the best moment during the day?
Of course, there were many memorable moments, but the time Erik and I shared together in the church feels very special to me.

Tell us a fun detail from your wedding day
We had cheeseburgers from McDonald's as snacks. A real hit.
Also, after the ceremony at Sandhamn's chapel, guests were escorted onto a smaller boat where the pre-dinner drink awaited. Meanwhile, Erik and I, along with our toastmaster and toastmadame, were shuttled out to the Teaterskeppet, which was anchored and hidden a short distance from Sandhamn. There, we waited with our DJ on the boat's roof, and when the boat with the guests started to appear, we started playing "Million Voices" at full volume. It was a hit, and the feeling at that moment was unbeatable. The sun was shining, the air was warm, and the water was calm.
What advice do you have for other couples getting married?
Follow your heart. Start planning early to reduce unnecessary stress and negative emotions associated with it. Try to let go of all planning on the wedding day and instead focus on being present in every moment.
