"From Malina to Milos"

The Work Behind: part 1 of 4

"Greece almost a breathing space. Its a place we choose because of heritage of the brand of Malina. The landscape of Milos island, was ment to be for this Spring Summer 24 collections. A place to convey a sense of the collections inspiration of the European summer. A summer spent by the sea, The Mediterranean, regardless of witch part of the world you come from. 

Milos island. An island we choosed for its historical elements, but mostly because of the heritage of Malina founder and designer Malin Ek Andrén’s grandmother who was born in Greece. The opportunity to immerse yourself in the feeling that the time has stood still, and you find the place where you can simply enjoy the present moment, with no room for any of the worlds worries to intrude.

Photo team was lead by Robert Binda together with stylist Davia Daley, and models from Athens, Greece.

The collection was inspired of the Meditarian captivating landscape - in colors like deep blue, beach colored tones, lush greenery. I wanted to choose a place were the collection would enhaced by the power it already possesses. Choosing the locations - Sarakiniko Cliffs, Mandarika Fishing village and Ocean house, I really felt very quick on location that this is the right island to represent this collection. I really like the freedom, the movement of the outcome. Every woman carrying this collection is powerful. To feel the freedom we felt on set. 

Feemale employes, female models, female profiles, participiating - we cant wait to dress all amazing women in the world with this collection. It was a amazing experience and I think this collection is a part of that".
