how did you choose your wedding gown?
I had seen the wedding dress in a picture a long time in advance and couldn't stop thinking about it. All other dresses I found paled in comparison to Carla. When I finally got to try it on, I almost hoped it wouldn't be that good so I could try many different options, haha! But as soon as I put it on, it was love at first sight and it was like it was made for me! I tried on a total of 4 other dresses, but it was just for fun since the choice was already made!

what accessories did you match your dress with?
I didn't want to draw too much attention to the hair, so I opted for light curls and a hair accessory to take center stage. For shoes, I wore a white pair of heels.

what was you choice of bridesmaids dresses?
Early on, I knew I wanted sage green for the bridesmaids' dresses, so it was just a matter of finding the perfect green shade. Also, having a multi-tie dress where you can tie it as you like and that suits your own body shape was the icing on the cake!

where did the wedding take room and why did you pick this location?
We got married in Älvkarleby Church, had a mingle with bubbles and cake right after the ceremony at Älvkarleö Herrgård, where almost all the guests also stayed overnight. Then the dinner and party were in a barn right next door. We got the best of both worlds, the luxury of a manor setting and the ruggedness and rustic feel of a barn. We had no connection to Älvkarleby but chose the location because it was important to have accommodation and the venue for the party close to each other to avoid any form of transportation. We loved the place, and it couldn't have been better!

was there any moment during the day that felt extra special?
The whole day was special because it's actually a day that's all about you and your partner; it's a luxury to have experienced it, and furthermore, to be able to partake in such wonderfully beautiful speeches made you feel full of love.

what advice do you have for other couples getting married?
The most important advice I can give to other couples getting married is 'Enjoy!' The day goes by so quickly, and when the big day arrives, you don't care if it rains or if the cake isn't as you imagined, or if the curls only lasted during the ceremony. The only thing you don't want is for the day to end, so try to enjoy every minute and allow yourself/yourselves to just go with the flow during the day. Trust your loved ones and have really good toastmasters because then you won't need to think about anything else than being present and enjoying your big day.
