Malina proudly announces the opening of its flagship store in Bibliotekstan, located at Jakobsbergsgatan 3 in Stockholm. With meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of its interior, our goal was to immerse customers in the captivating world of Malina. Drawing inspiration from our Hellenic heritage, Malina has curated a space that authentically reflects this theme. This encompasses not only the visual aesthetics but also the ambiance created by the music and scents within the store. Embracing the concept of Mediterranean luxury, Malina has carefully selected every element, from stones and fabrics to colors and furniture, to elevate the overall experience. The design, executed to perfection, ensures that each component harmonizes seamlessly with the environment, inviting visitors to indulge in the essence of Malina.
After a remarkable journey that began in 2010, Malina proudly announces a transformative rebranding initiative that marks a significant milestone in the brand’s evolution. Founder and designer Malin Ek Andrén has propelled the brand to new heights, maintaining a distinctive brand DNA rooted in offering unique, printed, and feminine occasion wear. The objective of this transformative era is to tailor the brand for expansion into new markets, including the United States, Asia, and the United Kingdom.
Embarking on a new chapter, Malina initiates its rebranding journey by simplifying its name to ”Malina” and unveiling a captivating new logo. The removal of ”By” before Malina is a strategic move aimed at enhancing clarity for international markets and retailers. The design, influenced by the founder’s Malin Ek Andrén Greek heritage, draws inspiration from the Mediterranean, as reflected in the elegant wave element incorporated into the logo.
Founder and designer Malin Ek Andrén expresses her excitement about the transition:
”Going from By Malina to Malina is very exciting for us. There is so much more to fashion than just dressing; I want to convey a feeling when you choose to wear our pieces. My passion from the beginning is to make people feel at their best, proud, and challenged in a good way when wearing our pieces.”
In March 2024, to celebrate this momentous occasion, Malina will showcasing the new logo, starting through a digital runway show of the Spring/Summer 2024 Collections. At the same time, a new concept store will open in the brand’s hometown of Stockholm, situated at Jakobsbersgatan 3, as part of Bibliotekstan, a renowned shopping destination in Stockholm. Finishing with an extensive launch event in Stockholm, Malina invites friends and family, old and new, to connect with this new era and discover the brand’s world firsthand.
The new collection is a celebration of after-hours dressing that is bound to impress. The collection is specially designed for the upcoming festive seasons and creates a smooth transition from office wear to occasions. Featuring both everyday closet staples and a range of stunning go-to occasion pieces that are sure to turn heads.

This capsule collection presents versatile pieces that seamlessly integrate into anyone's existing wardrobe, promoting mix-and-match possibilities with both neutral and distinctive elements.
With 1.1 million followers style influencer Anouk Yve is celebrated worldwide for her impeccable fashion sensibilities and her talent for styling. She is the expert in curating investment pieces for a modern woman’s closet and creatively elevating and rotating them through the seasons,

Malina has been the go-to brand for occasion wear since 2010. Founded and designed by Malin Ek Andrén whose main objective was to give more colour and femininity to the Scandinavian market. Roughly a decade later, the brand offers everything for the closets of modern women. Outerwear, suits, cords, knitwear and resort wear are developing more for each season; however, the brand still sticks to its essence of occasion wear, printed maxi dresses in sine silk materials with striking detail and high-end finish.
To enter new markets and get those other client segments, Malina decided to invite a long-term partner and influencer Sofia Ruutu to be a guest designer for their new exclusive capsule collaboration collection. Sofia and Malina created a collection merging her Scandinavian style with Malina's feminine and unique style house codes. A capsule collection is most effective with pieces that integrate into women's existing wardrobes. The results are items that emphasize mix-and-match with both neutral and bold elements.
The result of the collection finally hitting the market was more positive than ever expected. Malina had an increase in the finish market with new site visits by 353% and an increase of total sales by 2223 % compared to the same period last year.
"Considering the situation in the world right now, I am super grateful for our loyal customers and Malina achieving such great results'' - Founder and designer, Malin Ek Andrén
